- Jagannatha Hora provides free, precise Jyotish calculations based on astronomical ephemeris data. The interactive tools run in the browser without an account; saving or sharing a chart needs a free sign-in.

## About the name
- The desktop program "Jagannatha Hora" is free Windows software for Vedic astrology written by P.V.R. Narasimha Rao. The web application described in this file is a separate program: it is not that desktop software, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to it or its author. It can import the .jhd chart files that program saves (see Import a chart above).

## Coverage & accuracy
- The engine computes a comprehensive classical Jyotish data set: 23 divisional (varga) charts (D-1 to D-144), 56 dasha systems (55 selectable, both graha and rasi), 284 yogas, 8 doshas, Ashtakavarga, Shadbala and Bhava Bala, 276 arudha padas, 36 sahams, 14 sphutas, 11 upagrahas, and 9 special lagnas. The public REST API exposes 15 endpoints and the MCP server 33 tools over this engine.
- All positions are computed from Swiss Ephemeris astronomical data, with the classical methods implemented per the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) and B. V. Raman, across 20 ayanamsa modes. Classical computations are presented for interpretation; the service does not issue verdicts.
