Review Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Astrologers listed in the Jagannatha Hora directory can receive public reviews from people who have used jagannathahora.com. This page explains who can write one, what we will and will not remove, and how to reach a person about it.

It is written plainly on purpose. A review system is only worth reading if the rules are the same for everyone, including the astrologer being reviewed.

1. Who Can Leave a Review

Anyone with a Jagannatha Hora account and a confirmed email address can leave one review per astrologer. You can edit or delete your own review at any time.

  • We do NOT verify that a reviewer actually consulted the astrologer. Consultations happen off our platform — by phone, WhatsApp or email — so we have no record of them and we will not claim one.
  • There is no “verified client” badge anywhere, for that reason.
  • An astrologer cannot review their own listing.

2. What the Astrologer Can and Cannot Do

A listed astrologer can post a public reply beneath any review, and that reply is shown to everyone who reads it.

An astrologer cannot edit, hide, or delete a review about them, and cannot have one removed by asking us. That is the point: a wall of reviews the reviewed party curated tells a reader nothing.

3. What We Remove

We remove a review only on these grounds:

  • Abuse or hate — slurs, threats, or harassment.
  • Personal information — a phone number, address, or someone’s private details.
  • Off-topic content — spam, advertising, or anything not about a consultation.
  • Provably fake — where there is evidence the interaction never happened.
  • Undisclosed conflict of interest — written by a competitor, or by the astrologer themselves.

4. What We Do NOT Remove

  • A review the astrologer disagrees with.
  • A low rating, on its own.
  • A review that is critical, blunt, or unflattering, as long as it is about a real consultation and breaks none of the rules in section 3.
  • A review because the astrologer asked us to. This is not a ground for removal and never will be.

5. Reporting a Review

Anyone can report a review — you do not need an account. Use the “Report” link under the review, choose a reason from section 3, and add anything that helps us understand it.

We aim to acknowledge a report within 48 hours and to decide within 7 working days. We tell the reviewer, the astrologer, and the person who reported it what we decided. If you gave us an email address, that includes you.

If you would rather write to a person directly, the Grievance Officer’s details are in section 8.

6. Automatic Filtering

Links, web addresses and @handles are removed from review text automatically, in both reviews and replies. This is an anti-spam measure and it applies to everyone equally.

7. What We Keep After a Removal

If we remove a review, we keep a record of it — including its text — for up to 24 months, so that we can explain and defend the decision if we are asked to. After that the text is deleted automatically. We keep a permanent note that a removal happened, without the content.

A removed review cannot be posted again by the same person.

8. Grievance Officer
