A free trimsamsa (D30) chart calculator - the one varga of the twenty-three drawn here that is not an equal division, but five unequal arcs of 5, 5, 8, 7 and 5 degrees.
Every other divisional chart splits a 30-degree sign into n equal parts. The Trimsamsa does not. Each sign is cut into five spans of 5, 5, 8, 7 and 5 degrees, one for each of five grahas - Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus - sending the body to a sign that planet owns. There is no part index; the calculation is a boundary lookup, which Jagannatha Hora performs from exact longitudes.
The scheme is mirrored. An odd-numbered sign runs 5 / 5 / 8 / 7 / 5 from Aries; an even-numbered sign runs 5 / 7 / 8 / 5 / 5 from Taurus, the odd sequence read backwards. Classically the Trimsamsa is the varga consulted for difficulties and their sources. Enter a birth date, time and place and the correct table is applied to every body.
The five unequal trimsamsas
Down the odd column and up the even one, the same five rulers appear in mirror order. In a sample chart for 1 January 1990, noon IST at Chennai - fabricated, not a real birth - Jupiter sits at 11 deg 27' Gemini, an odd sign, and Venus at 12 deg 31' Capricorn, an even one.

Jupiter at 11 deg 27' of an odd sign falls in the third span and is placed in Sagittarius; Venus at 12 deg 31' of an even sign falls in its third span and is placed in Pisces - Jupiter's sign in both. Ten signs appear above; two never do.
A boundary lookup, not a division
No part index and no equal arc: each body is resolved against the five spans rather than by dividing a longitude.

The even table runs 5, 7, 8, 5, 5 degrees to Taurus, Virgo, Pisces, Capricorn and Scorpio, sharing no sign with the odd one.

In Shadvarga the D30 carries 1 of the 20 points, the smallest share of those six charts, against 6 for the Rasi and 5 for the Navamsa.
Common questions
Why are the trimsamsa divisions unequal?
Because the 30 in D30 counts degrees, not parts. A sign's 30 degrees are shared out among five grahas as 5, 5, 8, 7 and 5, so the chart has five divisions, not thirty.
How is the trimsamsa chart read for an even sign?
With the mirrored table. Its five spans run 5, 7, 8, 5 and 5 degrees, to Taurus, Virgo, Pisces, Capricorn and Scorpio. The two tables share no destination sign, so the odd one applied to an even sign is wrong at every degree.
Can a planet be in Cancer or Leo in the D30?
No. The ten spans lead only to the ten signs owned by Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus. Cancer belongs to the Moon and Leo to the Sun, and neither luminary is given a trimsamsa, so no body can land in either.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Yes. The narrowest trimsamsa span is 5 degrees wide, which the ascendant crosses in roughly twenty minutes on average - faster or slower with latitude and the rising sign - so a body near a boundary such as 18 degrees changes sign on a small shift.
