A free calculator for the classical sahams (sensitive points) and sphutas — computed longitudes such as Punya, Vidya, Prana, Deha and Mrityu derived from the planets and the Lagna.
A saham is a sensitive point found by adding and subtracting planetary longitudes — the Punya Saham, for instance, is the Moon minus the Sun plus the Lagna for a day birth. A sphuta is a similar computed longitude, such as the Prana, Deha and Mrityu sphutas built from the Lagna, Moon and Gulika. Jagannatha Hora computes them from your exact chart.
Enter a birth date, time and place and the calculator returns the sahams and sphutas with their degrees, applying the classical day-and-night rule that reverses each saham formula for a night birth. The points are given as computed longitudes for an astrologer to use.
How the sahams are computed
Each saham is a fixed formula in the form A minus B plus the Lagna, reversed for a night birth. These are some of the classical sahams and their day-birth formulas — what the calculator computes and then reduces to a sign and degree.

For a night birth each formula is reversed (Punya becomes Sun - Moon + Lagna), and 30 degrees is added when the Lagna does not fall between the two planets, before reducing modulo 360. The sphutas — Prana, Deha and Mrityu — are computed from the Lagna, Moon, Sun and Gulika. These are computed points, not predictions.

Gulika (Maandi) is a computed sub-point of Saturn. The Prana, Deha and Mrityu sphutas each combine Gulika's longitude with the Lagna, Moon or Sun, so an accurate birth time is needed.
